| E-data - Emailing your data to your accountant |
With EasyBooks you have the ability to e-mail a copy of your database straight out of the system. The main purpose for this is to send your database to your Accountant for review or additional processing.
To do this you must have e-mail software already installed on your computer and have a current Internet connection with an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Before you can send your database you must first tell EasyBooks where to locate your e-mail system on your computer. You do this by entering your e-mail details from the EasyBooks main screen under File – User details.
Consult you ISP if you are unsure of your smtp server address.
Your address details will be saved and will display next time you send your data to your accountant.
To send your data via email choose the Send option from Edata from the File menu on the main screen.
Type your message and select the attachments you wish to send to your accountant, then click send.
If you expect your accountant to make changes to the database then tick the box to give yourself a warning at startup to avoid entering data that may get over written when your accountant sends back your database.
